Formerly a car dealership, The Cornerstone Community Center is a vibrant, colorful, safe place for youths age 10-up to participate in recreational, social, educational and motivational activities. Each year, over 3,000 youths visit this Center!
During a September2009 meeting of the Rockville Community Alliance, Officer Chipman of the Vernon Police Department gave a report on crime and stated that it was a successful summer, giving credit to the Cornerstone Community Center "as a safe and secure facility for the youth to take advantage of." He added, "I've seen the good outweigh the bad in Rockville."
Young people are our future. They are not liabilities to be managed, but rather enormous potential to be discovered and guided.
