U.S. Congressman Joseph Courtney (2nd from left) and Foodshare visited the Cornerstone Community Center.
The Cornerstone Foundation is all about community-building! Together, we can accomplish so much more than we can separately!
Go Rockville RAMS! Is that cool or what?
This season, the Rockville Lacrosse Team will be doing more than competing on the field.  This year, they are helping to fight hunger in their community!

T-shirts are being sold by the team for $10 each and all the profits will go to The Cornerstone Foundation.  Novel Tees graciously created the design and has provided the shirts at cost.   Each T-shirt sold will provide $6.25 to Cornerstone.

The main thrust of the campaign will be within the Rockville High School community, but anyone who would like a T-shirt, please email
rhs.lax@comcast.net and indicate your size, adult S through XL.  Look for the boys to wear their T-shirts on Friday, April 16, on the Cool Schools segment on WFSB-TV 3 during the early morning newscast!
The Cornerstone Foundation is very interwoven with our local community, and we showcase who we are at various local events such as National Night Out and JesusFest.  We recently enjoyed a visit to the Cornerstone Community Center by U.S. Congressman Joe Courtney and Foodshare.  We also held our first "SoupFest" fundraiser at the Lodge at Crandall Park in Tolland last fall, and we're now organizing 5K walk fundraising events.

Speaking of community, we'd like to thank Pro-Window Cleaning in Manchester for washing the windows at the Soup Kitchen, Youth Center, and Shelter.  They did an excellent job, working very hard at no cost to The Cornerstone Foundation.  The owner is Gary Danforth, and the crew members were Julian Lush, Mike McGuire, and Chris Godfrey.  The crew members volunteered their time.  Pro-Window may be contacted at ProWindows@cox.net

LOOKING FOR A LOCAL JOB?

Subscribe to the free Tolland County Economy TV show "e-Job Bank" at www.TollandCountyEconomy.com.  This is a free community service.  Local full-time and part-time job openings at businesses, non-profits, educational and healthcare institutions, and government agencies in Tolland County and adjacent east-of-the-river towns are included.

VIEW PICTURES OF OUR FIRST-EVER "SOUPFEST" IN NOVEMBER!

We had a great time at The Lodge at Crandall Park in Tolland.
